Booking Terms and Conditions
The price includes accommodation, and DIY breakfast.
Keys to the front door are available. There is no extra charge, but we may take a £10 deposit for each key to cover loss. This will be returned to you on leaving.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the house or garden.
Please do not bring meat, fish, dairy or eggs into the house. (Please contact us with any queries).
Unfortunately we cannot accommodate companion animals. Please contact if you have a guide dog.
We welcome children of all ages. We can provide by prior arrangement and free of charge, a highchair, a travel cot, blow up children's beds and other equipment.
Booking Confirmation & Deposit:
A 20% non-refundable deposit is payable before your reservation can be confirmed as a booking.
Deposits can be paid by Paypal, bank transfer (Sortcode: 089286 A/c no: 17188834) or cheque sent in the post (please make cheques payable to Alexandra Taylor).
All bookings are confirmed by email or by letter.
Cancellation and Insurance
By making your booking, our agreement is a legal contract and your deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances, but may be transferable to a future booking; please contact us to discuss if this is required. We would recommend that you take out cancellation insurance to cover this cost.
If you need to cancel please contact us immediately.
For cancellations made a minimum of 14 days before your booked stay you will not be liable for the total balance.
For cancellations made after this time, or by failing to take up the booking without cancelling, you are still liable to pay for the booking in full, even if we have not yet received your balance. We will exercise this right at our discretion. If we do succeed in re-letting the booking, you are no longer liable for the balance, or we will refund it to you if you have already paid it, less a 2% administration fee
Non-availability of Accommodation
We would only cancel your stay if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would however attempt to offer you alternative accommodation. If this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for the holiday. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Your accommodation will be available to you from 4pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. We may not be able to accommodate you if you arrive earlier than the agreed time as we will be busy preparing your rooms. However, you may drop off your bags at an earlier time by prior arrangement.
Time of leaving
Please vacate your rooms by 10.30am
It would be much appreciated if you winotify us of your estimated time of arrival (a telephone call on the day before or morning of arrival is fine).
Late arrival procedure
Please ensure you contact us to let us know if you will be arriving late, and your new estimated time of arrival.
The balance of your payment is payable after breakfast on the last day of your stay. Payment can be made by cash, cheque , direct bank transfer or Paypal.
Damages and Breakages
Please take care when staying in our house and garden. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. We ask is that you do report any incidents when they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant.
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
Any data collected during the course of this booking will be stored on our computer(s). With your permission we may from time to time contact you about promotions and offers. We will not share your details with any third party.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, if we have to close due to lockdown, your deposit is fully refundable.
